Houston's 27th Anniversary!
Carmelo’s Houston location celebrated its 27th Anniversary on Wednesday, June 11, serving complimentary Tiramisu with a glass of Spumante. Carmelo's toasted to 27 years of excellent customers, staff, food and music.

Greater Houston Restaurant Association Honorees
Close to 150 restaurateurs gathered at the Houstonian Tuesday, May 27, to induct the incoming president of the Greater Houston Restaurant Association, established in 1949. Ricardo Molina of Molina’s Restaurants succeeded Carl Walker of Brennan’s Restaurant. The night’s festivities included Carmelo Mauro, president of the Texas Restaurant Association, awarding both Gabriel Gomez of Houston Community College and Jeff Jenkins of Conrad Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management with a $5,000 Hospitality & Culinary Arts Scholarship. These two young men have demonstrated promise as future restaurateurs and Carmelo’s Ristorante wishes them continued success in culinary excellence.
