Carmelo's Hosted Ninth Annual Vintner Dinners With Messina Hof Winery
Carmelo's hosted their ninth annual "Two Gentlemen from Sicily" Vintner Dinners in Houston on Tuesday, January 23 and in Austin on Wednesday, January 24, 2007. Carmelo Mauro of Taormina and Winemaker Paul Bonarrigo of Messina, Sicily, honored the land of their ancestry with an exploration of Italian culinary treasures and award winning wines. With a wine heritage that dates back six generations, Messina Hof is the most awarded premium varietal winery in Texas.
Messina Hof Winery & Resort, located in Bryan, Texas is the second largest tourist attraction in the Brazos Valley and consists of an award-winning winery, a 10-room Villa bed and breakfast, and The Vintage House restaurant featuring Vineyard Cuisine. The Messina Hof Estate sits on 100 acres total with 40 acres of grapevines used to make their port wine, a beautiful lake and serene wooded surroundings.
